1. Anonymous data collection
You can visit our websites without giving any personal information. However, our web server automatically saves access data in so-called server log files. This includes IP address (in anonymised form); Date and time of access; Name of the file accessed; Amount of data sent; Notification of successful retrieval.
This data is used exclusively to ensure the smooth operation of the website and to improve our offer (Art. 31 DSG). In order to improve our offer, we only evaluate statistical data that does not allow any conclusion to your person.
Personal data is collected on this website only to the extent technically necessary (registration for membership and newsletter). In no case will the data collected be sold or otherwise disclosed to third parties. The following explanation gives you an overview of how we guarantee this protection and what kind of data is collected for which purpose.
2. Google Analytics & Cookies
We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google uses cookies. Internets may use so-called cookies in some places. They serve to make our offer more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and stored by your browser. Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session cookies”. They are automatically deleted after your visit. Cookies do not harm your computer and do not contain viruses.
We only use Google Analytics with activated IP anonymization. This means that the IP address of the users will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area (Art. 6 DSG).
3. Newsletter
If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on the website, we need a valid email address from you as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the given email address or that the owner agrees to receive the newsletter , Further data is not collected. Your consent to the storage of the data, the e-mail address and their use for sending the newsletter, you can revoke at any time (Art. 6 DSG).
4. Events
By registering, you agree that photos or video recordings of you may be made and published for the purpose of reporting in the media of the Chamber of Commerce (newsletter, website, social platforms) in the context of events of the Swiss-Central European Chamber of Commerce. You do not derive any rights (e.g. remuneration) from this consent.
If a person is clearly recognisable in a portrait or close-up and does not wish to be published, they can object to the processing (Art. 32 DSG). In such a case, the contact must be established via [email protected]. The image is removed accordingly and no longer used.
5. Storage of your personal data
We will only store your personal data for as long as is necessary and legally permissible to fulfil the stated purposes. As soon as the purpose no longer applies or a statutory retention obligation ends, we delete the data (Art. 6 DSG).
If you have subscribed to our mailings (e.g. newsletter), we will store your data for dispatch until you revoke your consent, object to the mailing or we discontinue the mailing. Beyond this, we only store your data if it is necessary for the enforcement of or defence against specific legal claims.
6. Voluntary nature of the provision of personal data
The provision of your personal data is generally voluntary. Without this information, however, we may not be able to process your contact enquiry or registration. The use of our website is not possible without the creation of server logs (Art. 7 DSG).
Our forms for contact enquiries and event registrations clearly indicate which information is required. All other information can be provided voluntarily and is not mandatory for processing your enquiry or registration.
