CEE-Swiss Impulse Session

Global Economic and Financial Outlook 2026

Robust Growth despite Geopolitical Risks and Tectonic Shifts

with Dr. Martin Weder
Chief Economist and Head of Economic Research at ZKB

About the webinar

Significant changes in US trade and security policy dominated the headlines in 2025. Furthermore, geopolitical conflicts continued or even escalated. However, economic growth remained surprisingly solid thanks to a continuing AI boom and support from monetary and fiscal policy. The start of 2026 was again dominated by geopolitics as US military forces attacked Venezuela and Trump threatened to annex Greenland. In this session, Dr Martin Weder will provide a global economic outlook for 2026 and discuss opportunities and risks for companies and investors.
